Meet Connie Rossi

My name is Connie Rossi and I’ve been a resident of Jersey Village for over six years. I come from humble beginnings. My parents brought me to the United States, from Sicily, when I was less than a year old and worked hard to achieve the American Dream. Their struggles to achieve this dream taught me that, regardless of circumstances, I can achieve my goals. I was the first in my family to graduate from college, earning a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Houston (Go Coogs!) and moved on to earn my teaching certificate.

As a former public school educator of fifteen years, I have experience working with diverse community members of all ages who shared a variety of values and goals. I found, within all of the communities that I’ve served, most people valued safety, equality, determination, and a sense of community. I worked diligently to meet their goals and collaborated with innovative leaders. I believe many residents of Jersey Village, embrace the same values as many of the families that I’ve worked with, including the desire to preserve Jersey Village’s rich history and unity. Today, I work as a legal assistant for a leading law firm, representing municipal utility districts, water districts and authorities, and many more. As a legal assistant, I work with some of the brightest legal minds in Texas, innovative developers, and some of the most skilled consultants in the business. I know with my experience in public education and municipal utilities and development, I will represent the citizens of Jersey Village with objectivity, fairness, and open-mindedness.
